KIA Lucky Motors has launched the all-new Sportage L and Sorento Facelift models in Pakistan. KIA has been teasing its new release for some time now, and it turns out that this time around, it was not just a single model that was being teased. The lineup refresh brings two models of the new Sportage L with a FWD and AWD configuration, both HEV, along with four new models of the New Sorento. The top-of-the-line variant comes with a PHEV configuration along with a 3.5L V6 FWD, a 1.6L Turbo Hybrid FWD, and a 1.6L Turbo Hybrid trim. All models are now available for booking across the country through authorized KIA Lucky Motors dealerships. This marks KIA’s transition into the latest generation of two of its most popular SUVs in Pakistan.

2026 KIA Sportage L HEV Facelift

Starting with the 2026 KIA Sportage L Facelift is offered in two trims. One is the base variant, which comes with a FWD drivetrain, while the other offers an AWD drivetrain. Both versions come with the same SmartStream G1.6T GDI engine producing 178 HP and a maximum of 265 Nm of torque. The hybrid system in both options provides around 64 HP and 264 Nm of torque. This makes the total power output of the KIA Sportage L 235 HP, along with 368 Nm of torque. Both vehicles are equipped with a 270V Lithium-Ion battery with 1.49 kWh energy and 5.5 Ah capacity.

While both versions are identical when it comes to features, the only difference is in the drivetrain, where one is FWD and the other is AWD. The AWD version offers multiple driving modes like Snow, Mud, and Sand. The AWD trim also comes with 6 Harman Kardon Speakers and 1 Bass Booster, along with a Heated Steering Wheel, Hands-Free Smart Power Tailgate, and Memory Tailgate. Apart from this, both vehicles share the same specs and features across the board.

2026 KIA Sorento Facelift

The second vehicle to receive fresh models is the 2026 KIA Sorento. This facelift comes with four different models. The PHEV version comes with a 1.6L Turbo SmartStream PHEV engine that delivers 249 HP with a max torque of 367 Nm. It has a 13.8 kWh Lithium-Ion battery that supports EV-only battery mode, and it also features a 3.3 kW onboard charger that can bring its charge from 15 to 95% in 3 hours and 25 mins. Since it comes with an AWD system, you will find different terrain modes in it, including mud, snow, and sand.

Other important features include a 6-speed automatic transmission, active AWD system with part-time lock mode along with torque distribution display. Other features are shown in the table below:

Apart from the PHEV, you can choose between either a purely petrol model with a powerful V6 engine or go fir the hybrid trims that offer a 1.6L FWD and 1.6L Turbo Hybrid option.  The V6 model comes with a SmartStream 3.5L DOHC MPI engine that delivers 269 HP and 331 Nm of torque. The Hybrid versions come with the same 1.6L DOHC T-GDI engines coupled with a lithium-ion battery that delivers 1.49 kWh battery energy and 6 Ah battery capacity.

The V6 model comes with an 8-speed automatic Sports-Matic transmission, while the hybrid models offer a 6-speed automatic transmission. The ICE model has four driving modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, and Smart, while the hybrid models offer Eco, Sport, and Smart. Another major difference is Regenerative Braking in both hybrid options. All models come with 19’ alloy rims, but the V6 version comes with an 18’ set of rims. The Hybrid AWD and PHEV models come with a full suite of ADAS and safety features, with the V6 and FWD Hybrid model offering only base-level safety features.

While KIA Lucky Motors has opened bookings for both the new Sportage and Sorento models, the company has stated that the final price of all variants will be confirmed later once the Government of Pakistan issues a final verdict on the ongoing federal sales tax.
