Government Starts the Week by Reducing Petrol and Diesel Price for August 4, 2026

Latest Fuel Price Revision Brings Relief for Motorists as Petrol and High-Speed Diesel Prices Drop Across Pakistan.

The Government of Pakistan has announced relief for both petrol and diesel owners across the country. The new price of Petrol in Pakistan is Rs. 331.95 after a decrease of Rs. 4.08, while the new price of diesel in Pakistan is Rs. 389.93 after a decrease of Rs. 2.45 for August 4, 2026. The new prices arrive as a breath of fresh air for commuters across the country who spent the last week spending more and more on fuel prices with every passing day.

Fuel Type Previous Price New Price Difference
Petrol Rs. 336.03 Rs. 331.95 – Rs. 4.08
High-Speed Diesel Rs. 392.38 Rs. 389.93 – Rs. 2.45

The previous revision was made on July 31, 2026, Friday, when the government reduced the price of petrol by Rs. 0.12, locking its price at Rs. 336.03, and diesel by Rs. 0.66, locking its price at Rs. 392.38. This was a minor decrease but a surprise for everyone. The prices remained the same throughout the weekend with no changes, since the policy stated that the prices will only be changed on weekdays and will remain the same until Monday night once they have been revised on Friday night.

Fuel Type Price on July 27 Price on July 28 Price on July 29 Price on July 30 Price on July 31 Price Difference
Petrol Rs. 335.18 Rs. 334.18 Rs. 335.81 Rs. 335.06 Rs. 336.15 Rs. 0.97
Diesel Rs. 383.46 Rs. 386.83 Rs. 388.38 Rs. 390.62 Rs. 393.04 Rs. 9.58

The new prices will certainly decrease the price of commodities across the table because everything is directly related to the price of petrol and diesel. Heavy traffic and transport run on diesel, which transports goods across the country. Even a small increase leads to a massive price rise across the entire market. While the new prices may get revised again tomorrow, everyone can avail themselves of the discounted price for tomorrow and save some money.
