Changan Launches Hunter K50 in Pakistan as Its Third Brand NEVO Makes Local Debut

The Hunter K50 arrives in Pakistan with a REEV powertrain, 4x4 capability, and a launch price of Rs. 10.99 million.

Changan has officially launched the Hunter K50 in Pakistan, marking the local debut of NEVO as the company’s third brand in the country. The NEVO Hunter K50 is the world’s first mass-produced range-extended (REEV) pickup truck and is the latest offering in the country by Master Changan Motors, who are expanding its lineup in the country. Hunter K50 was initially marketed by Changan under its Deepal sub-brand; however, it has now been launched under the Changan NEVO name as a proper 4×4 REEV pickup truck.

Bookings for the NEVO Hunter K50 are now open in Pakistan, and people interested in booking can secure their vehicles by paying Rs. 2,200,000. The launch price of the NEVO Hunter K50 is Rs. 10,990,000, and it will remain valid for a limited time. The price is also further subject to terms and conditions, which are available at local dealerships.

Similar to Deepal’s S05, the Hunter K50 comes with an electric motor setup that is connected to a generator that charges its batteries to give more range. The 4×4 setup uses dual electric motors, while a 2.0L turbocharged engine acts as a range extender to generate electricity for the battery. The electric motor provides 322 HP and 529 Nm of torque, while the battery capacity is 31.18 kWh. Changan claims that the Hunter K50 is capable of delivering 131 km of pure EV range, and a combined range of 900 km+. It also comes with a 70-litre fuel tank.

Hunter K50 also offers multiple driving modes based on the current conditions. For normal driving, it comes with Eco, Comfort, Sport, Traction, and a Custom mode. However, for off-road modes, it has separate Snow, Mud, Crawl, Towing, Sand, and Off-Road modes. The AWD system manages power delivery according to the selected driving mode and prevailing conditions.

Inside the cabin, the Hunter K50 features a 12.3-inch infotainment display, a 50W wireless charging pad, and a six-speaker audio system. The safety package includes Level 1 ADAS, six airbags, and a tire-pressure monitoring system. In terms of dimensions, the NEVO Hunter K50 measures 5,380 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,920 mm in height, with a 3,180 mm wheelbase. The table below compares its size with other pickup trucks available in Pakistan.

Truck Model Length (mm) Width (mm) Height (mm) Wheelbase (mm) Ground Clearance (mm)
Changan NEVO Hunter K50 5380 1980 1920 3180 220
JAC T9 Hunter 5330 1965 1920 3110 210
Toyota Hilux Revo 5325 1855 1815 3090 286
Isuzu D-Max (X-Terrain) 5265 1870 1810 3125 240
MG U9 5,500 1,997 1,874 3,300 230
Riddara RD6 5,260 1,900 1,880 3,120 185
BYD Shark 6 5,457 1,971 1,925 3,260 230

The Hunter K50 also gives Changan a new entry point into Pakistan’s growing electrified pickup segment. With the vehicle positioned under NEVO rather than Deepal, Changan is effectively expanding its local brand structure beyond conventional ICE models and technology-focused vehicles such as the Deepal S05. The K50’s REEV powertrain also gives the company a way to target buyers who want the benefits of electric drive without relying entirely on charging infrastructure.
