Another Petrol and Diesel Price Revision Has Arrived as Government Locks Prices for the Weekend
As the weekend approaches, the government raises the prices of both diesel and petrol once again.
With the weekend approaching, the Government of Pakistan has announced the new price for both petrol and diesel for July 25, 2026. According to the latest notification, the new petrol price is Rs. 335.18, with an increase of Rs. 3.66. The new diesel price is Rs. 383.46, with an increase of Rs. 383.46. With that said, these fuel prices will continue for the weekend, and the next revision will be announced on Monday. This creates a sense of relief for commuters around the country because they have at least two days to not worry about any more increasing prices.

Yesterday, the government increased the prices when petrol was raised to Rs. 331.52 with an increase of Rs. 4.40, while the diesel was raised to Rs. 379.02 with an increase of Rs. 3.62. The daily price revisions are a source of economic unrest in the entire country as these affect the rates of everything. Every time there is a price change, every other commodity rises in price as well, and it is directly affecting the lives of the common man with limited budgets.

Earlier, the All Pakistan Petroleum Pump Owners Association had announced a complete shutdown across the entire country due to daily price revisions and an adjustment in the margin ratio. The strike was called off at the last minute because of successful negotiations, but the daily price revisions will continue for at least another week, after which a fresh round of negotiations will begin with all parties involved.
