Pakistan’s Fastest Charging REEV Launches Tomorrow

XPENG L03 REEV is set to launch in Pakistan on October 12, featuring a claimed 123 kW DC fast-charging capability. Here's what we know ahead of its official unveiling.

Islamabad:  Tesla Industries and its local automotive brand GuGo Motors are officially launching the XPENG L03 REEV in Pakistan tomorrow. XPENG L03 is the second offering by Chinese manufacturer XPENG to arrive in Pakistan and is the company’s answer to the growing EV demand in the premium REEV SUV coupe segment.

During its launch ceremony, XPENG is expected to reveal which variants are launching in the country, along with booking and full prices of the L03, along with detailed specifications. What we know so far is that it will be the country’s fastest charging REEV thanks to its 123 kW DC fast-charging capability.

This is remarkably high for any REEV in the country so far. Compared to other REEV options, iCAUR V27 has 60 kW max DC charging; Deepal S05 REEV has 54.5 kW, while the Nevo K50 Hunter has 41 kW DC charging. Sitting at 123 kW, the L03 pulls more than twice the peak DC charging power of its closest SUV and truck competitors.

Vehicle Model Max DC Charging Power Charging Time

(10% to 80%/90%)

Battery Capacity Pure EV Range

(Claimed)

XPENG L03 REEV 123 kW ~20 mins (10% to 90%) 37.25 kWh 250 km (CLTC)
iCAUR V27 REEV 60 kW ~20 mins (10% to 80%) 34.31 kWh 150 km (CLTC)
Deepal S05 REEV 54.5 kW ~20 mins (30% to 80%) 27.28 kWh 150+ Km
Nevo K50 Hunter 41 kW ~30 mins (30% to 80%) 31.18 kWh 111 km (WLTP)

Another thing to keep in mind is that its competition, like the K50 Hunter and iCAUR V27, are heavier, larger boxy vehicles designed for high payloads and off-roading while the L03 is a low-slung, aerodynamic SUV coupe and when combined with its high charging speed with its large battery yields a much higher pure electric range of 250 km per charge as claimed by the company.

XPENG is also known for developing vehicles with a strong emphasis on technology. L03 follows this philosophy by integrating advanced driver-assistance features. These include the XPILOT/XNGP Suite along with advanced AI parking. The cockpit features a minimalistic design centered around a 15.6 2.5K central touchscreen powered by a fast, responsive processor. The car also comes with an 18-speaker immersive sound system with 7.1.4 panoramic surround audio.

Practicality is another area to watch. Pre-launch information lists a long wheelbase and a liftback-style rear opening, which could make the L03 more versatile than a conventional boot-equipped sedan. However, its final Pakistani dimensions and luggage capacity should be checked against the local specification sheet before being treated as confirmed.

With the official launch scheduled for October 12, the price, variant lineup, warranty terms, and after-sales support will be important in determining how the XPENG L03 REEV competes in Pakistan. Motornama will update the details following the local unveiling.
