Government of Pakistan Reduces Petrol and Diesel Prices for the Weekend Starting August 1, 2026
The latest fuel price revision brings relief for motorists as both petrol and high-speed diesel prices have been reduced for the weekend.

The Government of Pakistan has announced the revised fuel prices for August 1, 2026, setting petrol at Rs. 336.03 per litre and high-speed diesel at Rs. 392.38 per litre. The new price comes after a minor decrease of Rs. 0.12 in petrol and a Rs. 0.66 decrease in diesel. While petrol has seen a decrease in the past, this is the first decrease in diesel price in over 2 weeks, changing the overall trend of its pricing for this month.

Yesterday, both petrol and diesel prices saw an increase in prices. Overall, for this week, the prices of petrol remained pretty much the same. It started at Rs. 335.18, and it is currently at Rs. 336.03, so the revisions, whether they increased or decreased, kept the prices around the same marker. As per the government notification, the current prices will remain the same throughout the weekend and will now be revised on Monday night. This means that these prices will remain the same for the next three days. While the decrease is not massive, it is not an increase at least, so the effects for both private and commercial drivers will remain pretty much the same.
