How to Turn Off Deepal S05

A simple guide to safely shutting down, locking and leaving the Deepal S05.

The Deepal S05 does not have a conventional Start/Stop button, which can make it confusing to know how to properly shut down and leave the vehicle. This is particularly noticeable because the generator and cooling system may continue running even after you lock the car. This makes it a little confusing to see how you can turn it off and leave it safely. This guide explains how you can turn off your Deepal S05 and easily go away without worrying about it still running.

How to Turn Off Deepal S05

Turning on the Deepal S05 is easy, as you just unlock the doors from either its key or the button on its door handle with the key in your pocket, and it will open. To turn it on, you simply press its brake pedal, and the vehicle’s systems will come online, and it will be ready to drive. Now all you need to do is drive around and park where you want to go.

Now the real issue comes when you have to shut it down, lock the doors, and leave the vehicle. This gets a little confusing because even if you lock its doors by pressing the button on its key, it will fold the mirrors and turn off the DRLs, but its generator will often keep running, and the front vents will keep opening. This is perfectly normal and does not mean that the car is still running.

To safely turn it off, simply put it in Park (P), exit the vehicle, and press the button on the key to lock the doors, or you can use its screen menu to turn off the vehicle as well. The vehicle will auto-close everything once you exit with the key. However, you might still hear the generator running, and a whooshing sound coming from its front vents, which might still be opening and closing. If you can still hear the generator or cooling fans after locking the S05, do not be alarmed. These systems can continue operating after the vehicle has been parked and locked as the vehicle manages its temperature and electrical systems.

You can simply walk away once the mirror folds and the DRLs turn off. You do not need to do anything else.
