Omoda and Jaecoo Report 65,676 Vehicle Sales in August as NEV Deliveries Drive Growth

Omoda and Jaecoo's August sales more than doubled year-on-year as new-energy vehicles continued to drive the brands' global growth.

Omoda and Jaecoo have reported combined sales of 65, 676 vehicles in August, representing a 101.7% year-on-year increase worldwide. The brands also reported that new-energy vehicle sales reached 49,712 units during the month, accounting for a significant share of their overall volume.

According to their official report shared by the companies, their overall sales saw a 101.7% increase year-on-year, while new energy vehicles increased in sales by 167.5%. The data clearly shows that electric vehicles were a major cause of the sales increase for both brands. They played a major role in increasing the overall sales figures of the company. Keep in mind that these figures are for both brands, across all of their vehicles, and worldwide, not just in Pakistan.

In Pakistan, Jaecoo is offering its two SUVs, Jaecoo J7 and Jaecoo J5, while Omoda is currently offering Omoda 7 and Omoda E5. All four models are sold under their original brands, imported into the country, and manufactured by NexGen Auto Pvt. Ltd. NexGen Auto Pvt. Ltd., an automotive subsidiary of Pakistan’s Nishat Group, is bringing Omoda and Jaecoo to Pakistan through a strategic partnership with China’s Chery Automobile.

Positioned within Pakistan’s emerging New Energy Vehicle (NEV) sector, the venture relies on Chery’s global export infrastructure to bring specialized electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles (EVs and PHEVs) to the domestic market.

The August figures provide a broader picture of how rapidly Omoda and Jaecoo are expanding globally, with new-energy vehicles playing an increasingly important role in that growth. While the reported sales figures cover worldwide deliveries rather than Pakistan specifically, the brands’ growing global focus on electrified vehicles is also relevant to their expanding lineup in the local market.
