Petrol and Diesel Price in Pakistan Reduced for August 7, 2026

Diesel continues its downward trend for another day as petrol comes down once more after a significant increase yesterday.

The Government of Pakistan has announced the revised price for both petrol and diesel for August 7, 2026. According to the latest revision, the new price of petrol is now Rs. 329.82, after a decrease of Rs. 3.19, and the new price of diesel is Rs. 382.36, after a decrease of Rs. 1.50. As always, the new prices will be implemented tonight at 12 AM, and will remain valid for the entire day, until tomorrow night, when the next price revision will take place.

Yesterday, the price of petrol rose to Rs. 333.01 while diesel was reduced further to Rs. 383.36. An important detail to note here is that the price of diesel was being continuously increased for the past two weeks; however, since the start of this week, its price has been continuously on a downward trend. Petrol, on the other hand, is seeing an unusual trend with an increase one day, and then a decrease the next day.

With today’s revisions, the prices of petrol and diesel have both decreased a little, but these are insignificant and will not pass on the relief to the economy in any way. The maximum benefit the new prices will provide is that a few motorists will be able to get a little extra fuel in their vehicles. Apart from this, such small decreases do not affect the economy in any way.
