XPENG G9L is Launching in Pakistan Next Month
XPENG's brand-new AI SUV is heading to Pakistan after its global debut at the 2026 Paris Auto Show
Islamabad: XPENG Pakistan has announced that its brand-new AI SUV G9L is launching in Pakistan next month. The announcement was made by the company during its XPENG L03 launch event in Islamabad last night. At the end of the event, the CEO Waleed bin Amir shared a trailer for the XPENG G9L and detailed that the company is planning to launch the upcoming flagship SUV next month in Pakistan, increasing XPENG’s lineup in Pakistan to four vehicles.
The XPENG G9L was revealed recently at the 2026 Paris Motor Show, with a small international market launch, following its original launch in China in September 2026. In the coming months, the company is planning to release the G9L in over 64 global markets, and Pakistan is one of them. The new XPENG G9L is the company’s most advanced AI-powered vehicle made to date, and it combines a multitude of safety and autonomous features, including ultra-fast charging and rear-wheel steering options.

The XPENG G9L comes in two variants: a full BEV and a REEV. It is a big, chunky three-row vehicle which is placed just below the flagship GX SUV. It measures 5,120 mm long, 999 mm wide, and 1,782 mm tall, with a generous 3,100 mm wheelbase. In China, the G9L is offered as a 5-seater vehicle; however, its European version is offered in both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations.
To make driving easier, the XPENG G9L comes with rear-wheel steering, which cuts down its turning radius to under 5.5 meters. Its suspension also features double-wishbone at the front coupled with a multi-link rear end, dual-chamber air suspension, and Continuous Damping Control (CDC).
Coming to its powertrains and range, the XPENG G9L is built on the company’s signature 800V high-voltage architecture that supports ultra-fast 5C charging. According to the official documentation, the G9L is capable of charging its battery from 10% to 80% in roughly 11 to 12 minutes. Since the G9L comes in both BEV and REEV options, they differ when it comes to powertrain and power delivery.
| Feature | Super Electric REEV | Pure EV (BEV) |
| Drive Setup | Motors always drive the wheels; the 1.5L turbo engine acts strictly as a generator | Pure electric dual- or single-motor options |
| Peak Output | Up to 430 kW (577 hp) / 695 Nm of torque | Up to 430 kW (577 hp) / 695 Nm of torque |

XPENG bills the new G9L for the ‘AI Era’, and it shares the same Turing AI chip used in XPENG’s IRON humanoid robot, which results in massive computing power of up to 2,250 TOPS. Its XOS 6.0 infotainment system is powered by a Snapdragon 8295 processor. The cabin also includes an 8.8-inch driver display, a massive 17.3-inch central touchscreen, a 21.4 ceiling-mounted rear screen, a rear control display, and an AR heads-up display. It also features native Google Maps integration similar to other XPENG offerings.

It also comes equipped with XPENG’s proprietary advanced NGP (Navigation Guided Pilot) system driven by the VLA 2.0 AL mode. The software is heavily adapted to navigate complex global city streets, roundabouts, and parking scenarios. Despite being loaded with tech, XPENG has also ensured that G9L does not compromise on luxury as well. The entire cabin is dressed in Nappa leather. The first two rows feature heated, ventilated, 16-point massage seats, including a front passenger ‘zero gravity’ recliner. It also comes with 12.5-liter built-in refrigerator as well, along with power-operated doors, and a premium 26-speaker sound system.

On paper, the XPENG G9L sounds like a premium offering from the tech-first brand. XPENG Pakistan imports completely built units (CBUs) directly and does not manufacture locally, so we can expect most of these features to come here as well. The company will announce a confirmed launch date and variants in the coming days.
