Jetour T2 Has Managed to Secure More Than 3,000 Bookings in Its First Two Weeks

Jetour's latest Defender-Inspired FWD PHEV seems to be making a strong impression in its initial booking phase

Jetour, launched by United Motors (Pvt) Ltd, has revealed that it has received over 3,000 bookings for its upcoming Jetour T2 i-DM SUV in its first two weeks since launch. Jetour T2 i-DM was launched earlier this month and marks the third SUV launch by the Chinese brand in its Pakistani lineup. T2 follows up with the previous launches of Dashing and X70 Plus.

The T2 i-DM is Jetour’s latest PHEV with i-DM, which stands for Intelligent Dual Motor. This means that the vehicle is equipped with a dual-motor electric system that is powerful enough to drive the SUV on electric power only. For its gasoline engine, it comes with a 1.5L TGDI engine mated to a Super Hybrid System and a 3-speed Dedicated Hybrid Transmission, powering the front wheels only.

Despite its size, the vehicle on offer is only an FWD version with an 18.4 kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery. It delivers 360 HP with a combined torque of around 610 Nm. These are decent figures for an SUV of this size. It offers multiple driving modes catering to different scenarios like Sports, Economy, and Snow, and can be switched to either hybrid mode or EV-only as well.

Unlike Dashing and X70 Plus, the T2 i-DM looks like a proper 4WD with its Defender-inspired design, but it basically falls in the SUV category. It is much boxier with straight lines on the front and back, with large, flared fenders, off-road tires, and plenty of opportunities for enthusiasts to modify it for proper off-road use.

Jetour launched the T2 i-DM with an ex-Factory price of Rs. 12,795,000, with a booking amount of Rs. 2,500,000. Jetour is claiming the deliveries will start in September 2026, so it makes the waiting time around 3 months after the booking is complete. The current booking figures reveal a good initial customer response, but we will have to see how Jetour honors the T2 bookings in the country once the deliveries start.
